Intense and amazing, two words I used to describe this match, truly nail biting.
Tallawahs, put into bat by the Warriors, they struggled with the bat in this match. Openers Lendl Simmons and Glenn Phillips who is playing in his second match for the season, started nicely reaching to 30 before Simmons had to depart. Batsmen were just coming and going in quick succession for the Warriors.

Batting at 4-85, Jonathan Foo came in an played a pivotal role scoring 20 runs off 12 balls which included 2 fours and 1 six. Two balls after the dismissal of Foo, Phillips was trapped lbw by Sohail Tanvir, he departed on a well played 51. At the end of the 20 overs the Tallawahs 128-7. Pick of the bowlers for the Warriors were Steven Jacobs 2-18, Ryad Emrit 2-24 and Rashid Khan 2-38.

Openers Chadwick Walton and Martin Guptill were cruising in the run chase. Tallawahs were given not one but three opportunities to break the opening partnership, but they failed. Kesrick Williams finally got the breakthrough as he removed Walton for a top score of 37, 1-67 Warriors. Nine runs later Guptill went for 33, Warriors 2-76.

The final over was the most intense, Warriors needing just 8 runs with 8 wickets inside, into bowl was Kesrick Williams. First ball went for single, second ball a dot, third ball Jason Mohammed skied one to Rovan Powell who couldn’t hold on, trying to guide it to Simmons who kicked the ball giving the Warriors 3 runs. Now needing 4 runs from 3 balls, seemed pretty simple to me just play cool. On strike was Babar Azam, who played one straight into the hands of Powell, Warriors 3-125. Next ball Mohammed got a single leaving Roshon Primus to face the last ball, needing 3 runs to win. Primus made a mess of the final ball as he played it to deep mid-wicket being caught, Tallawahs winning by 2 runs.

This win made it four in a row for the Tallawahs who now move into 2nd place behind the Trinbago Knight Riders.
